After passing through the destemmers, grapes are spread across a vibrating belt that feeds the optical sorter. The system’s sensors identify defects—such as stems, leaves, insects, and foreign bodies—as well as unripe berries based on color. These are precisely rejected using compressed air, while the high-quality fruit continues directly to the crushing unit. Operators can customize rejection criteria via a touchscreen interface.
